A couple of exciting announcements…
It’s been a busy couple of weeks around the old home office and I wanted to share a few things I’ve been working recently…and when you can expect to see/view them in the near future!
1. MT/SLP CONVO!
As an extension of my music therapy and speech-language pathology collaboration series, I recently recorded a face-to-face (via Skype) conversation with Olivia, a SLP graduate student in Canada. She is hilarious, wonderful, AND she almost chose music therapy as her career path, so she makes a great advocate for SLP/MT collaboration!
Discussing the current state and the future of MT/SLP collaboration with her was an absolute joy and once our recorded Skype session is edited and finalized (the tentative date is this Friday), it will be posted on the lovely Olivia SLP’s blog/vlog, which you view find HERE and on her YouTube channel HERE.
Here are a few of the topics we discussed:
Is music therapy mentioned in SLP classes?
Session ideas for collaboration
How MTs can further promote collaboration with SLPs…and vice versa
The future of SLP/MT collaboration…and…I’m not going to give away everything! You’ll just have to check it out :).
2. Today I Ate a Rainbow!
I recently had the pleasure of connecting with Kia Robertson, the founder of, “Today I Ate a Rainbow” (check out her site…it’s vibrant & inspiring). She is a fabulous (and busy!) woman who invited me to write a guest blog post. How do I incorporate music therapy and healthy eating for children? You’ll be able to find out once it is published on her site! I will let everyone know when and how they can take a look-see.
