A Few Session Ideas for Clients with Cerebral Palsy
I have the absolute pleasure of working with several clients with cerebral palsy – from the ages of 7 to 27. While the goals and objectives are specific to each, there are many similar, overarching areas of need.
The following clips portray a snippet of some of the areas on which we work: sound localization, eye contact, and grasping.

Grasping: starting with hand-over-hand assistance with the chiquita, then moving to holding just her wrist.
“I Have Rhythm in My Heart” – I learned this one from Meghan over at Mountain Health Music!

“Play the Tambourine” – Thank you, Michelle at Music Therapy Matters, for sharing this song on your YouTube channel!
I’d love to hear if you have any questions or comments about the above videos and/or interventions!

I love these videos Rachel. I think my favorite part is seeing your demeanor with your clients. You have a real genuine-ness about you (if that’s word!) and I think we can ALL take something from that! 🙂
Amy
Amy, that is probably one of the nicest compliments I’ve received – thank you so much!!
