DRUMMING

Music Therapy Drumming: Carolyn, Bill, Mike, and Kalani

From the MTD website:

Music Therapy Drumming is a professional development program for Music Therapists, by Music Therapists.

MTD includes live instruction, resources, and support for all Music Therapists, regardless of prior training or experience playing and/or using percussion instruments and rhythms in performance or clinical settings.

Participating in a MTD course is at the top of my music therapy to-do list!

I had the opportunity to learn from Mike during my internship and I can vouch for his crazy-amazing drumming skills. Seriously, this guy is absolutely incredible.

I was also able to witness the masterful rhythm-makers – Bill, Carolyn, and Kalani – at the last American Music Therapy Association national conference in Atlanta:

Check out their website, Musictherapydrumming.com and see how you can learn from them AND receive CMTE credits (See: “C” post for more on CMTEs!).
