Explore Music Therapy: my first plunge into the music therapy internet world!

Exploremusictherapy.wordpress.com was a blog that I created while I was in the middle of transitioning into running my private practice full-time.  Keeping up a blog gave me a purpose and provided me with a way to channel my creative energy and ideas (and let’s be honest, it was keeping me sane while I was trying to figure out the ins and outs of starting my own practice).

Running the blog during those few months last year allowed me to grow as a music therapist, appreciate social media, and discover the active online community of fellow MTs.

I decided to leave the site in order to focus my energy solely on this website; condense all of the material into one handy site and simplify (with encouragement and support from Erin, a health and wellness coach).  The burden of maintaining both sites was lifted.

I think of the EMT blog as an old friend who was there with me from the beginning of this incredible private practice journey.  Here is one of my very first posts (almost a year ago), and it happens to start with “E”! Perfect! 🙂
