Goal area: Sequencing
What I did:
Cut apart visuals and sentences to create an activity in which the client had to rearrange both the pictures and the words to create the familiar rhyme. I usually set the rhyme to the tune, “Single Ladies”.
Jack and Jill
Went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water
Jack fell down
And broke his crown
And Jill came tumbling after
I recently traveled to St. Louis (now, my future home), to view and partake in the Ben Folds and the St. Louis Symphony concert.
To anyone that knows me, this will come as no shock; BUT, I’m a huge BF fan. This, coupled with the fact that he is a supporter of music education AND music therapy….well, I just had to buy tickets for myself and my immediate family.
So, last weekend, my parents, my brother, and my sister-in-law, and I all enjoyed his symphonic renditions, as well as his first piano concerto!
Thanks, Ben, for being a music therapy advocate and supporter!
