Brittany (Lesch) Swartz is a board-certified music therapist who relocated from Cleveland, Ohio to Austin, Texas in September 2014. She graduated from Ohio University in 2009 after completing her bachelor’s degree in music therapy, completed her music therapy internship working with older adults in various levels of long-term care, and worked for four years as a music therapist and administrator at Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood. Brittany’s main instrument is viola and she enjoys working with a variety of individuals and groups. In Austin, she hopes to continue growing as a music therapist and learn all that central Texas has to offer!

A big change for Music Therapy Services of Austin: August 1st

Dear Music Therapy Services of Austin families and friends,

As many of you know, I recently moved back to the midwest and started a job with the St. Louis Special School District.  Because of this, I quickly realized that running a practice from afar was doable, but I also knew that this might be the best time to transition Music Therapy Services of Austin to a new owner – one that I could trust to keep the practice running smoothly, take care of the client and family needs, and take responsibility for overseeing the current subcontractors with MTSA.

I’m happy to announce that this person is Rebecca Faulkner, MT-BC – one of my current subcontractors, who is a wonderful music therapist and a true professional.  She will be officially taking over the practice (billing, website, Facebook, newsletters, and all other aspects of marketing and business) on August 1st.

Please keep in mind, however, that the ONLY change that will affect families and clients, is the fact that emails and bills/invoices will be sent from her and not me. Other than that, all aspects of the practice will remain the same during this time of transition.

I want to personally thank each and every one of you for joining me on this MTSA journey. It’s amazing to see what has happened in the last three years and I look forward to keeping in touch and seeing how it continues to flourish, with Rebecca as the new director!

As always, please feel free to email me with any questions, comments, or concerns.

Thank you, again, and have a LOVELY rest of your summer!!

Warmest regards,

Rachel See
